The story we read about called Hunger. It's about a boy and his parents. The boy's father is gone and it's the mother who takes care of the children. The boy is the eldest son, its he who must take care of everything: learn as quickly as possible about everthing, take care of himself and be brave guy. Before, it was his father who did everything but now that his dad is gone, it's he who should be the "father" at home.

One day his mother took him to the supermarket to teach him grocery shopping so next time he can do it himself.

The next day it was his turn to buy food his mother gave him money and told him to go shopping. He thought that it was the first day he knew the adult. On the way, he was attacked by a gang, they beat him and took his money. The boy ran crying home to his mother. The mother was not angry, she gave him money and told him to go back on the road.

He saw the same gang again but they didnt see him, he got scared and ran home. His mother asked him what happened he said he saw the same gang who beat him last time the mother told him that he must be strong. He went outside again but he was attacked again they struck him hold took the money and sent him home crying.

He cracked the door he mother opened the door and then she said to him that he cannot go into the house and that he had to be brave and not be afraid of the gang and then she said im going to teach you to stand up for yourself and fight and she gave him more money and note and said go to the store and buy those grocerise and if those boys bother you, then fight. But im scarde, he said. Don't you came to this house until you've gotten those groceries, she said. The boy was afraid he cried but went anyway. On the way he met the gang he thought, "Now motherfuckers "I must do this, then he hit them and then the gang became scared and ran to their parents and never dared attack him anymore.
